How to Curl Your Hair - Products Used:

-Dove Shampoo: I am a firm supporter of almost all Dove products and I don't think I've used a non Dove shampoo in 4 or 5 years... It just works really well for my hair and never leaves it feeling anything but healthy and nourished.

-Its a 10 Leave In: I've been using this since college and attribute this (and the moroccanoil) to why my hair has stayed so healthy and shiny and why I can go 8-12 months without cutting it. I don't condition my hair outside of maybe once a month with a leave in shower mask but it still stays super smooth and hydrated and I think this has a lot to do with it!

-Wet Brush (more options here): My love for wet brushes run deep. I think I randomly got one in a mailer a couple years back and they also sent me two others after and now I don't use anything else. I think it really helps with breakage and pulling when your hair is wet or tangly (is that a word?). I also love them because they are a drugstore brand so they can be found anywhere and are really affordable!

-Moroccanoil: Now this I've been using since high school and I hope to continue to use until the day I die. It is SO good. It feels good on your hair and I really really love the smell of it. At first it seemed a little weird to put oil into your hair (especially since I'm naturally oily) but now I feel like my hair needs it and without it, it can get super dry and frizzy. It's like a  cold drink of water to my hair!

-Hairdryer: I'm pretty lucky that my hair dries naturally straight and there is little needed to be done but I still like to speed up the process with a hair dryer. My goal here is to get the most amount of power with the lightest weight so I can be as comfortable as possible when drying my hair -- and hope to get it done quick. THIS hairdryer is the one for me. My whole family uses it too-- really life changing!!

-Curling Wand: I know there is already plenty of hype around this wand and I'm one of the firm believers in it (I got it before it was cool, guys). It just works really well for my hair type and only leaves it feeling more shiny and healthy (which I know sounds crazy). I just simply cannot curl my hair with anything else.

-Redken 28 Hairspray: For me, I like my hairspray to have hold but be flexible which I understand is V confusing. A lot of hairspray will just leave my hair feeling too crunchy and gross and even more will LET MY HAIR FALL. And I am not about that life! I've found that this is the hairspray for me and I've been using it for a couple years now.

-Oribe Texture Spray: This I fell in love with recently and only use sparingly. It gives your hair a lot of texture and hold (think along the lines of salt water + sun) which is great but I'm really particular about how my hair feels and so I only lightly spray this on the ends of my hair on the first day I washed it. It really does help my curl hold for more than a day!
