What I'm Packing for my Palm Beach Vacation

What I'm Packing for my Palm Beach Vacation by popular New York style blogger Covering the Bases

A few girlfriends from work and I are heading for a Palm Beach vacation this weekend and I'm so excited to really take my first warm weather vacation this year! I've been buying stuff like crazy and wanted to recap everything here for you since my IG story try on hauls only last for 24 hours! Enjoy!

Swim:
Lilly Swim (top / second top / bottom): I am PUMPED that Lilly brought back their swim line! I used to wear it all the time in college (I had older vintage pieces). They originally sent THIS underwire top in a 6 and it fit really well around but my chest was spilling out of the top. I thought the underwire would be good because #support but it was actually padded and a little bit push-up and it just didn't fit with my chest.

So instead we went with the tie bikini top and the tie bottom and they fit perfectly!! I got an 8 in both for reference and I've decided that I really love bikinis that have ties. It makes to so it's completely customizable to your shape and help it fit best!

Vineyard Vines Seersucker Bikini (top / bottom): I love just about anything seersucker and I'm really excited to wear this one in FL! I got a M in the bottom and a L in the top and I still stand with the idea that all bikinis should be strings. I love this swimsuit but there is def some adjusting with the top I need to do when putting it on.

Target Scalloped Bikini (green top / green bottom / black top): These I am most proud of for a couple of reasons: 1. they look JUST like the Marysia swim ones. Like identical. And are SO CHEAP! The green top is $27 (got a size D/DD), the bottoms are $22 (got a size L -- but the medium would have been fine too) and the black top is $29 and also got the D/DD size! 2. they come in great sizes. I L-O-V-E the fact that they have D/DD sizes for the tops (they really do fit me well) and they fit around too. It's a catch 22 sometimes with swimsuit sizes because you need a bigger cup but smaller around. These fit great (I wear a 34 DD in bras).

Target White One Piece Swimsuit: I saw this on Kate and thought it was SUPER cute so decided to try it out for myself. White swimsuits can be tricky but this is not at all see through (it's actually super thick) and fits so beautifully! I got a size M and it's perfect!

J. Crew Seersucker Bikini (top / bottom): This was one of the first swimsuits I bought and I just love the contrast of navy blue piping with seersucker fabric. I think it's really great outside of some small issue: it ties in the front. So you have little room to work with on making it tighter around because of the cups of the top. I got the M and the L -- and of course the large fit better in the cups but was too big around so I stuck with the M and made it work. I got a M in the bottoms and they fit like a dream!

Dresses:
Vineyard Vines Front Tie Seersucker Dress: I really really love this dress -- it's going to be perfect for PB but also for work in the summer (I have a thing for seersucker). I love that it's super lightweight and that it ties in the front so it gives the dress a little more shape. There is little to not love! I got it in a size 6 (TTS) and fits great.

Vineyard Vines Banana Leaf Maxi: This might be the steal of the whole haul! Its SO cute in person (much cuter than online) and is extra extra light weight so it will be ideal for hot temps. I love that it's off the shoulder and the print is to die for.

Vineyard Vines Seersucker Cover-up: This cover-up will be ideal for walking to/from the beach or really anytime I just want to throw something on over my swimsuit. It's a stretchy lightweight seersucker material and really looks like a borrowed from the boys dress shirt. It's going to really come in handy this trip!

J. Crew Green Floral Dress: On Sunday we're heading to the Sunday Polo Brunch and I'm going to bust out this dress for the occasion! I get it in today so really hoping it works out because if so I have a pretty cute outfit planed. So excited we get to do this!!

Jeans:
Vineyard Vines Step Hem White Jeans: WHO KNEW that VV had such amazing white denim!! They are not at all see through and are really comfortable (even though they are not stretchy) -- I tried on a 6 and an 8 and both fit fine but was just more comfortable with the 8. They also had a really cool feature where the pockets on the front are tan colored (on the inside) so they don't stand out when you're wearing them. I'd never seen that before and I think it's pretty cool.

Tops:
Lilly Button Front Elsa: I got this in last week and already wore it to work on Friday and in Vegas this past weekend. It's just so cute and easy to wear and goes with a lot of things! I originally thought they were ginger jars but soon realized they were actually fish LOL. But either way it's still super cute and I'm for sureeeee packing it for Palm Beach!

Vineyard Vines Sweater: This I'm packing for the nighttime when it can get a little colder and for traveling! It's really cute (I got a small) and like a fancier sweatshirt. I like the contrast on the sleeves and how they are a different material than the rest of the sweater. It just gives it a little more dynamic!
