There is just something so romantic about New York when photographed (especially in black and white), don't you think??
I kind of dropped the ball with planning, so we ended up shooting much later in the summer than I planned for, but the photos turned out great, and I'm really excited to share them with you! Our first stop was in Grand Central. I had always seen these beautiful engagement photos from here and ever since I knew it was what I wanted.
Grand Central, while always busy and hectic, is one of the most beautiful places in the city. The history and story behind the building are worth a read when you have the time, but it's seldom that we walk through and take it all in. I feel these photos we're able to capture the beauty of the place and the beauty of our relationship.
It did take some convincing for Andrew to agree to shoot here... he's not a fan of the madness that is Grand Central and the day before and morning of he still was a little anxious about the whole thing. BUT the good thing is, he was a great sport AND agreed after when we saw the photos that it was worth it.
With the beauty of our setting, we wanted to dress the part to match. Our most formal of the bunch, I went with a borrowed Alexia Maria dress and Stuart Weitzman Eventually heels, and Andrew wore his navy suit and Kenneth Cole loafers.
Our photographer, Michael, was just so fantastic during the shoot and shot some amazing photos. It was a lot of patience and sweat (it's a lot of work!), but it was all worth it. I'm so excited to see how the photos from the wedding turn out!
