My Current Makeup Routine

Lately I've been doing a new makeup routine that should transition well into summer. I'm excited to share it with you! I was able to test it out on my Bachelorette and it was beautiful. I'm really happy with where my routine is now and love all my products. It also doesn't hurt that the Sephora sale has started so Rouge members can snag these items at 20% off.

SHOP MY MAKEUP HERE:

Step By Step:
1. Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream (mini size): I like to buy the mini because I wouldn't use the big one before it expires. It takes me a while to get all the way through the mini. I don't know what I'd do with a full size jar! I only use this on days when I'm doing my makeup. I think it's a great hydrating base for my foundation and it hasn't let me down yet!
---Applicator: Hands

2. Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow Primer: I just started using this after seeing it on Grace, but it does give a wonderful glow underneath your foundation. I've been wanting more of a glow from within vs. a highlighted glow on top, and this does the trick! I probably need to apply it in more places vs. only the high points since it is a primer...
---Applicator: It Cosmetics Brush (similar; part of sale)

3. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer: I've been using this for about a month now and it's a total game changer. I LOVE it. If you want a really natural, light look this is your foundation! I use the oil-free version because I get really oily during the day. It's a very light coverage foundation, but for my non-makeup wearing girls, this is for us!!

4. Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Focus Filter: One of my all-time favorites. I use this right after my foundation to give me a bit of highlight. I put it on the high points of my face (brow bone, nose, cheeks) and it gives a wonderful touch of highlight and glow that blends into your skin so well.
---Applicator: It Cosmetics Brush (similar; part of sale)

5. Tarte Shape Tape (not part of the sale, but my close second fave is Nars Creamy Concealer!): I LOVE my shape tape (as does the rest of the world), but understand that it can be a little scary because it's so full coverage. If you want something a little lighter but still gets the job done, I love the Nars concealer. I get the mini size so I don't waste product before it expires!
---Applicator: Morphe sponge (sale; beauty blender)

6. Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Powder (under-eye, t-zone): This is the greatest powder of all time. It is SO finely milled that you can apply 50 layers and it won't cake up on you. I use this to set my under eyes. On lighter coverage days, I will use this all over to set my face. This is also the one item I carry with me so I can do touchups on any oily spots. It's SO good.
---Applicator: Morphe sponge (sale; beauty blender)

7. Fenty Lavender Powder (undereye, between brows, around mouth/cheek area): This is a recent find and new love. It's GOOD at brightening and baking. I try to use it under my eyes, around my chin and whatever is left over between my eyebrows. It's so good! I use the lavender color. Who knew it's the BEST for brightening fair skin? But know that it's strong! Not for beginners lol.
---Applicator: Morphe sponge (sale; beauty blender)

8. Urban Decay Brow Pencil: I hate doing my brows and I'm not very good at it, but this brow pencil is really cool. It gives good color and has a felt tip on one side that gives a microbladed effect without actually getting them done.

9. Tatcha Dewy Skin Mist Setting Spray: I switch it up every so often for setting spray, but I'm loving this one for a dewy final look.

For the next part, I use different items depending on if I'm using cream vs. powder. Sometimes I'll do cream and set with the powder but not often. Creams are used for hotter days when I won't be out too long or want more of a natural look. Powders are more for when I need it to stay for most of the day and on colder occasions.

If we're doing powder on the face:
Lancome Absolue Powder (on cheeks and above the brow, whatever is left on rest of my face): Another way to glow. WOW! Can you tell I NEED the glow?? Powder does a really good job of melting into the skin without sitting on top of it. It gives the most subtle glow with the right amount of product. You can also layer it up for more of an actual highlight with a brush if desired! It's not part of the sale, but something similar would be this Hourglass Ambient Light powder.
---Applicator: Morphe sponge (sale; beauty blender)

Hoola Lite Bronzer (eyelids, cheeks and forehead): This is an old favorite! I've been using the Hoola regular for years but found it's too warm on me. I switched to the lite (softer) bronzer and am all about it. It's great for fair skin and much more neutral on your face. I even use it for my shadow crease and nose contour. It really brings a natural bronze to your look!
---Applicator: Tom Ford brush

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush: I love this blush so much. I found that I do not like highlight or sparkle in my powder blush at all, so I was looking for a nice matte that would still give me that sun-kissed pink.
---Applicator: Smashbox brush

Fenty Highlight (top of brows, brow bone, eyes, inner eyes, nose): This Fenty highlight has become one of my all time favorites! I use the color Hustla Baby and its the perfect golden highlight. I love it so much I use it for eyeshadow as well!
---Applicator: Finger and smashbox brush

If we're doing liquids/creams on the face:
Tom Ford Shade and Light Bronzer (eyes, cheeks and forehead): Ok if we're going cream, THIS is the product to have. I use it for highlight and bronzer and it' just so good. A high price tag, but it's worth it. I've been using it for a while and love it. It's great for summer and great to use on its own! It melts into your skin and gives a wonderful warmth. I'm wearing it in the photo above.
---Applicator: It Cosmetics Brush (similar; part of sale)

Charlotte Tilbury Beach Stick: THIS IS MY HOLY GRAIL ITEM. I use the color "moon beach." It's a highlight and blush all in one. I love it so much because it's a great color, gives a natural look and blends SO well. I can't tell you how many times I've also used this straight up to give glow to my face. It really does make a world of difference. SO SO good. ugh. I love it.
---Applicator: Stick and finger

ALL RIGHT. I know that is a lot to throw at you on a Monday. If you're totally overwhelmed, are new to makeup, don't wear that much, or anything along those lines I suggest these three things to have in your makeup bag:
1. Laura Mercier foundation
2. Charlotte Tilbury beach stick
3. Charlotte Tilbury powder

All are great on their own or with other items. They will get you what you need out of your makeup. They are at the top of my list of recommended items. Now is a good time to shop the Sephora sale if you have the chance! 20% off makeup is a great deal. So is 15%!
