Before we get into the below just wanted to quickly talk about today's casual summer look! I actually wore this outfit for our celebration dinner right after we got engaged. These shorts have not been popular with you guys but I love them and I'm so happy I got them! They are like the perfect white linen shorts for summer and have been so over worn so much already I really should have bought two pairs!!

And this sweater is actually my favorite thing from J. Crew in a while. It's a really light weight sweater that honestly is perfect for summer. I love when it gets cooler at night and I can wear a sweater and shorts combo. There is something so off about it that I love!

This casual summer look is like my unofficial look of the season. I've been noticing lately that I just want to wear what I love the most and I've been repeating outfits and looks a LOT this summer. I haven't been shooting them as much for some reason which even I don't understand... lol I'm weird, I know!!

Hows the wedding planning going?
It was really bad in the beginning but now I feel like I finally have a solid plan in place. I just had no idea where to start when we got engaged and felt totally overwhelmed because I wanted these random specific things and I realized that it just wouldn't make sense/be cost effective... etc etc. And everything I thought of, Andrew didn't love and then Andrew and I were apart (due to our travel schedules) for like two weeks and I just felt very alone. It was this whole thing that ended with me crying at midnight and asking to move it back to 2020 or to just elope in Italy (both of which were shut down haha).

But then I talked to my friend Louise who is getting married the weekend after us in Nantucket and I don't know what happened but she just seemed to get it and get me and walked me through a ton of stuff and it all just kind of clicked. The next day I had a schedule and general outline for the wedding, talked through it with Andrew and it become our plan!

What are you thinking for the wedding?
We're kind of making it a vacation/celebration/planned elopement/intimate/party after thing. It's hard to explain and I don't want to go into too many details just yet but just know it won't be what a traditional wedding is all about.

Do you have a date or place?
We do! Even though I tried to move it to Italy 2020... lol we've set on a date for next year in Nantucket.

What are you thinking for a dress?
This is one place where I have NO idea about a dress. I know I want it white, long, no lace and simple. That's a start right? How far out do you even go dress shopping?

Where is your ideal honeymoon location?
Australia and New Zealand are my #1. Then there's Greece, Italy and the Maldives!

What are you the most excited about for getting married?
I'm really excited to see Andrew for the first time on our day. I love looking to the groom's reaction when he sees his bride for the first time! I'm also really excited to have all our family and friends in one place all together.

What are you most + least excited about when planning a wedding?
In terms of planning I'm excited to plan out the really random things like the welcome bags or the presents for our family and friends who are a part of our big day. Least excited about the money/budget aspect of it all since it's super stressful!

What tradition do you care about for your wedding? And which are you forgoing?
This wedding will be anything but traditional. It's just going to be us and it's going to be just about what we want. We're going to figure out more details but outside of having a white wedding dress I don't know that there will be any real traditions!
