Also known as the D-backs, this MLB team is part of the National League West Division and play in Phoenix Arizona. Their stadium is Chase Field and their colors are Sedona red, Sonoran sand and black. An expansion team (a brand new team in a sports league) in 1998, the D-backs were the fastest team in Major League history to win a World Series championship (2001).
Along with posts from myself and Andrew, I've also called upon the help of my wonderful friends! Today's post comes from Jen of Skirt the Rules. I couldn't think of anyone better to do the D-backs post, than my wonderful friend from U of A! Take it away Jen:
I’m an Arizona girl born and raised, so when Krista asked me to rep the Diamondbacks for her series, how could I say no? Hello 2001 World Series Champs! (I know, it's been a while ...).
When it comes to sports, I’m not much of a jersey-wearing girl, but I’ll rock team colors like no other. That means you’ll find me cheering on the D-backs in our official colors: Sedona Red, Sonoran Sand and black. ... yeah, you think they could’ve came up with just one more desert-inspired name.
But colors aside, you’ll probably find me in a skirt or a dress no matter what the occasion. For a ballgame, I’d pair a simple t-shirt dress with a gingham shirt for a look that’s easy and casual, but still very me. Top it all off with my favorite part of the outfit -- snakeskin flats -- and that's what I'd call game day appropriate.
