Rainy Fall Day in NYC

I wore this outfit this past weekend when it was pouring all day. I just wanted to be cute, warm, and waterproof! I swear when fall hits, my wardrobe and outfits are 10000000 times better. They're so good sometimes they even impress me, lololol.

Halogen x Atlantic Pacific: Bow Detail Plaid Cape Jacket / J. Crew: Mock Neck Sweater in Super Soft Yarn (35% off!) / Time & Tru: Sculpt Leggings (only $18!) Aquatalia: Neda Tall Weatherproof Boot (also comes in black; 33% off)

I just love everything about this look. I was able to snag this plaid cape when it dropped as part of the collection with Blair. All the stuff was so good, but this is by far my favorite item! It's just so unique, cute, and so fall-y! I want to wear it every day!

Then we have my sweater that I cannot stop raving about. I picked up a few colors last year and then a few more... and then two more this year. GUYS, IT'S THAT GOOD! It's, as the name suggests, super soft and just an awesome sweater. It runs a size large, and I'm wearing it here in a Small. It's also super stretchy, so you're good to size down without worry -- even the sleeves are long!

My jeans -- or should I say jeggings -- are a new favorite that I found for $18. The price is obviously unmatched here for what you get. They're really stretchy, super skinny, and high waisted so they'll look great on just about everyone. I also sized down here to a 6 (usually an 8/L in bottoms) because they stretch so much I can get away with it. I've worn them maybe about ten times so far, and they haven't stretched out, but I have yet to wash them, so I'll keep you updated!

And finally, my shoes. I snagged these at the Nordstrom sale this year and have just been waiting to wear them. I don't know about you, but I always seem to struggle with looking cute when it rains. There are just no good footwear options -- especially in the fall months when you want to wear dresses/skirts.

I found these riding boots do just the trick! The fact that they are weatherproof is incredible because they look so nice when, in fact, they are super durable! They do need to be broken in some -- like all leather -- but I don't find them uncomfortable in any way. I just think they will be even better when they mold to my feet. I'm also a big fan of the stretchy back because that means my wide calves can fit in without worry.
