To be totally honest I didn't think I was going to love this dress as much as I do. Online it looks just OK and (IMO) looks vastly different than it does on the model online. But for some reason I decided to grab it and try it out for a friend's wedding.

I knew I wanted to dress up some since Andrew was the best man in the wedding and was wearing a tux. I also LOVE to wear long dresses to weddings so I can wear comfortable shoes (usually flats) without anyone knowing it!

I just remember trying this wedding guest dress on after it came in and being like "oh yea, this is the dress I'm wearing." It fits perfectly (wearing a M) and it turned out to be the ideal summer wedding guest dress. The floral and print made it a little less formal so really it was the perfect mix of what I was going for: summery and formal.

One thing I did modify though are the sleeves. *Technically* one should be up and the other should be down and I just didn't really like the dress that way so I pinned both of them on my shoulders (the easiest fix of all time) and was fine the rest of the night. It also has cutouts along the sides and they reattach at the front and back of the wedding guest dress. I don't think anyone even noticed because when you stand regularly, the ruffle folds over the opening but it was another way that made this dress more summertime-chic.

You can see a picture of Andrew and I from the wedding here and then one of myself and the girls (on my personal account) here. And a makeup tutorial from the wedding is coming soon so be on the lookout!
