Sad that April meet is over but hopefully I can get back to Lexington for the next season of Keeneland and sport another cute dress :)

The weekend before last we were meant to head to Lexington for a friend's wedding but we had to cancel last minute due to some family things. For those who don't know, I actually went to school in Lexington and was very excited to head back and show Andrew around. He's been there once before but I really wanted to show him a day at Keeneland and this was the dress I was going to wear!
Keeneland is one of my favorite places -- you get dressed up, bet on some horses, drink some bloody marys and have a good time with all of your friends. The best was during the year when you did Keeneland in the morning, a basketball game at night and then out to the bars after. It's what we called our own triple crown.
I thought since I had the look all ready with this beautiful green sundress, it was silly to let it go unseen so here it is. I didn't wear it anywhere other than right outside my apartment for this shoot but it does look awful cute! I thought I would change it up and go with a green dress over a blue one and funny enough I had the right accessories to match!
Last weekend was my birthday weekend and I did go a little overboard with presents for myself but (believe it or not) I don't really buy super nice things for myself often. I think its been a year or two since my last designer bag purchase! But this year I treated myself with something nice from all the clothes I sold in my spring cleaning purge so really these are basically free lol.
From myself for myself I bought a Cartier ring from eBay. I love it and I'm really happy with my purchase and already authenticated it so we are good to go! I also (because I LOVE eBay) bought myself a pair of vintage Chanel pearl earrings that are gorgeous and that you will see on the blog soon!
Another exciting item I got for my birthday were these heart stud earrings from Diamond Nexus with the gift card they provided from their last event. They really know how to treat a girl -- especially after they sent me a tennis bracelet for my birthday! It's been a couple of weeks and I have NOT taken it off I love it so much. I was on the hunt for the perfect tennis bracelet and I can't believe how perfect this one is. Every time I see it I smile!
My parents sent me lots of edible arrangements and my favorite caramels and I *believe* a mahjong set is on the way (if I know my mom). Andrews parents got me a kindle Paperwhite + and his sister got me a really cute case with my monogram on it! Then of course Andrew took me to Nantucket for my birthday last weekend so I'd have to say it was a pretty great day!
