This isn't something that anyone asked for but I think it is something that you need to hear. I'm about to spill the deets on my all-time favorite pair of jeans: the AG Farrah Jeans.

A little background on my relationship with jeans: in high school I used to be a jean snob. I would only wear true religion or 7FAM or any "designer" brand I could get my hand on. I wore jeans solely for the back pocket and not for anything else (like comfort or style lol).
When I got to college and my style evolved, I pretty much grew out of my phase and love of jeans and switched to leggings, skirts and dresses. I was on a stict "no jeans" policy for a good part of my early twenties. Even moving here I used to only wear these jeggings from Gap. They looked JUST like jeans (had pockets, zippers and buttons) but were so stretchy and felt like leggings. It was awesome.
It wasn't until I did a shoot with People Style Watch for "jeans for every shape" that I found AG Farrah jeans (you can see them first on the blog here). Those were the ones that, looking back, kicked off my obsession with AG Farrah Jeans -- and ultimately lead me to the place of finding my favorite pair ever.
Now, if you look in my closet I have a stack of about 10-15 pairs of jeans and all but 3 *maybe 4* are AG Farrah jeans. After wearing the first pair for a while I realized how great they fit my body shape (it's been a year long struggle to find jeans that fit my butt and my waist), how they don't stretch out and how well they stand up to time!
I remember in those first couple years in NYC, I would stock up on AG Farrah Jeans. I was out buying every style and color to see what worked for me. I found them on Amazon, Shopbop and Nordstrom and overtime found I had started a nice little collection.
It wasn't until about a year later that I realized I was wearing this one same style over and over and soon how it became my go-to for any occasion: for weekends, for work, for going out -- I wore these jeans ALL the time.
They were the Farrah High Waisted Skinny Jeans (in the color brooks).
Details about me: I'm 5'6 150, wear normally an 8/L in bottoms and a 29 in jeans. I've found that AG is TTS and if you are in-between sizes I would size down because most jeans do have stretch.
So why do I love AG Farrah jeans so much?
They are high waisted. This is probably #1 favorite thing for me -- they come to my belly button and I feel they help really hold everything in (even when sitting). I love that I can tuck shirts in and make my legs look longer, wear tighter shirts and not have any kind of bulge or just wear regular tops and have a nice wash of jeans to pair it with.
They stay skinny. Isn't that the struggle of all struggles? Skinny jeans that just don't stay skinny. It's the worst nightmare! Well I've have these jeans for 3+ years and you can see for yourself: they stay skinny. They are extra skinny when you wash them but stay skinny throughout the months in between. (PS you're not supposed to wash jeans often -- I was mine maybe ever couple months and when I do I make sure they are inside out and with other jeans).
They have a great stretch. This kind of goes hand in hand with the above but not only are they skinny they're stretchy! I'm able to move and bend and sit and breathe in them without feeling constricted. It was part of the reason I gave up jeans for so long. They were just so uncomfortable!
They are long. I personally love that they are so long (and so should you!) It's so easy to roll/flip under to make them the length you want to be. I like them long for when I'm tucking them into shoes. Because I can kind of hook them around my heels I'm able to make sure they don't bunch up.
Need I say more? I know they are expensive for jeans but I will tell you what I tell all of my friends: they are worth it. They last. They are comfortable. They are quality. They are worth the price.
If you're still not sold, Shopbop has a couple sales a year when AG is on sale and Nordstrom usually has them as part of their Anniversary Sale. So there are times when you can steal them at a discount -- just have to act fast because they sell out quickly!
ALSO -- for those who don't have my body type: AG is still great for all. I have yet to find a person who has tried AG and doesn't love them. For contrast, you can see Caitlin in AG jeans HERE.
