Since I've started BBG and started posting about it, I've gotten questions as to how I stay motivated to workout. I will tell you, it't not easy! I'm not at the point where I crave to go to the gym or to do my BBG workout but I push myself to do so (especially while I can). So if you're in the same boat, here are some work out motivation tips!

5 WORK OUT MOTIVATION


1. A Workout Buddy -- I'm very lucky to live with my workout buddy and even luckier that he is very responsible. He won't listen to my excuses, he always gets up when his alarm goes off and he is extra supportive. It's also helpful *during* workout to have a partner because you both keep each other motivated. I know I always feel bad if Andrew keeps going while I take a moment to breathe -- if he is working hard, I should be too! I know I wouldn't be this far into BBG without him. Get you someone like Andrew!

2. Cute Clothes -- It may *seem* dumb but when you have really cute clothes to wear, you get excited to wear them and also have a better workout. It's totally along the same lines of "look good, feel good" for work purposes. I'm still giving some brands the wear test (like Alala and Adidas) but right now I personally love -- and recommend -- Zella (their leggings are like woah), ALO and Nike

3. Results -- I will admit seeing results really help stay motivated. There is nothing better than working hard and seeing it pay off. This won't happen right away but it will happen and when it does it will push you more to workout!

4. Good Music -- Good music is essential to a good workout. You want something to get you pumped up/excited and music always puts me in the mood. I'm the kind of person to blast some really inappropriate rap songs but it works for me. Spoity and Apple music both have great workout playlists already curated so you can find what you like and save your favorites. 

5. Have A Set Workout -- I found that knowing my schedule or knowing what I'm doing during workout helps not make the before hand that bad. I tell myself, "it's only 28 mins" or "I can do these workouts easy" (spoiler: I can't) and I think it makes it feel less daunting. Same thing for class workouts -- you know what you signed up for, how long it will be and what you need to do. Having that as opposed to I'll just go down and do whatever for an hour helps keep you on track!


Do you guys have any work out motivation extra tips? Especially during the winter?? I know getting to the gym is the hardest part! I would love to hear your ideas and motivations below because some days I need a little extra kick in the butt.
