Spike:
A runner can "spike" an infielder by sliding into him and causing an injury with the spikes of his shoes.
This is probably my number one go-to outfit for work. A nice solid colored tailored dress with a statement necklace and a fun shoe. I have this dress from the factory in three colors and I constantly keep them on rotation. There is just something about a timeless dress that gets me (and my money). I'm starting to invest in nicer items that will last longer and get more use compared to the normal $20 dress that I'll wear once because it's "in style." Not to say that I've completely changed my ways, its a process that takes time, but with this dress and a few other pieces, I'm on my way.
Now, can we talk about these shoes? I love them. I love them. I love them. When I first got them I was a bit hesitant because they are so out there, but over time I found that's what I love about them. They're so out there, they work. When I bought them, they were on a major sale so that helped my decision a lot. I really love the thick red heel as well. There's just something about a thick heel these days that really gets to me. Maybe because they're easier to walk in? I'm not sure, but all of my shoes recently have been thicker heel and I love them.
