Weekend Update: October 23

Weekend Update: October 23

Happy Friday! This week has been soooooo poopy weather wise. I'm hoping things change around today. Last weekend we had the most amazing fall weather and most of our leaves are starting to change color!

Weekend Update: October 23

Five Items I Have My Eyes On:

-This color block Dudley!!! Omgggg in *LOVE* (can use FUN15 for 15% off!)

-This quilted jacket is so chic.

-I am very into a tree collar for our tree. Who else is starting to plan already??

-How amazing are these velvet bow and pearl earrings?

-Fun fact: I've never purchased a Kardashian/Jenner item before but I am very intrigued by this SKIMS knit set (top / bottom)

Best Sale of the Week:

Sale alert! This houndstooth jacket is currently 40% off and runs TTS.

Weekend Plans:

Honestly? Nothing. I was thinking about this in the shower this week (as one does) and thought: is everyone else back to normal? It definitely feels like everything is, but there's also still this veil of caution. I don't know. It's like I'm just waiting for the shoe to drop. Am I alone in this?

Currently Watching:

I just started The Wire! This will be Andrew's third time watching it but I'm excited to see what all the hype is about! We are also juggling that with Brooklyn 99, which we usually watch after The Wire.

Most Popular Item of the Week:

FAR and away (for the second week in a row), this sweater. It may have just secured the top spot of the best seller of the year. And it is currently on sale for $48!

What Made Me Happy:

I was able to actually get some needlepointing done this week. I hadn't had time to sit down and stitch in over a month because I've been busy painting. I have a lot of really fun new items coming in early November to Penny Linn Designs!

  1. Definitely not back to normal and also not having weekend plans due to the pandemic still raging. Certainly feels like a lot of people have resumed “normal life” though!

  2. Definitely not back to normal, for as much as we all wish it was! To add insult to injury, one of my dad's restaurants lost power last night and had to close. Not good timing, to say the least :(

  4. Hi Krista!! I'm definitely not back to normal. Inching that way, but still spending most of my time at home. I have a Dudley Stephens question. My sister mentioned wanting a black park slope for Christmas, and I 100% implied I would get her one. Except then I procrastinated, and now they're sold out in her size and I feel terrible! Do you know if they're doing another drop before Christmas?? Or retailers besides their site or Tuckernuck that carry them? Thank you!!

    1. Check tuckernuck (and use code FUN15 for 15% off!) but they will likely restock before Christmas so I wouldn't worry *too* much!

  5. I have definitely had similar thoughts about how things are seeming too normal for the actual state of the world. Getting closer to winter has me feel those quarantine anxieties again, and I just don't know what to think of it either...on a happier note, those velvet bow earrings would look perfect with that red, bow-strapped Gal Meets Glam holiday dress! I was feeling the holiday spirit and put on that dress the other day lol!!
