If shopping isn't in the cards for you, just skip right past this post. I know I haven't wanted to shop much as of late and asking myself these questions -- what do I need? where would I go? when will I be out of the house? -- I get it. Trust me I do.
Let me start this by saying that I understand these sales mean a lot more than just a good deal. There are reasons this has never happened before and there is a reason it is happening now. It's sad and it's going to get worse. It's a horrible pull both ways of: do I save money for myself or do I shop (which helps the business -- plus their employees -- and in turn, the economy). I get it.
But shopping is something that feels good to me right now. It feels normal and familiar and looking at pretty dresses and finding a good deal on a jacket is something that helps me take my mind off the sadness of the world for just a few minutes. We are all just trying out best here and it is part of my job to share sales. It feels weird right now, yes, but I'm trying to get myself back to feeling normal.
I know I personally have been turning to blogs and Instagram for more fun content as of late. It seems like every other thing I read is devastating new news and it's driving me crazy. I've mentioned and talked about safety tips and have touched on the pandemic but I want to start getting back to things that take my mind off it all. And today, that is shopping.
