A Palm Leaf Maxi You'll Wear All Summer

When it comes to shopping, I like to consider myself an expert. But where I really shine is when I'm occasion shopping. That, in my mind, means I have an event or vacation that I'm specifically shopping for (vs just buying to have new things). I think about my settings, the place, the people and what I'll be doing and go from there. It's where I do my best shopping and find the perfect look for any occasion.

Bardot: Palm Leaf Print Maxi Off the Shoulder Dress / Marc Jacobs: Debora Slide Sandal (these slides are more affordable and were my second option) / Ray-Ban: Wayfarer Sunglasses / Earrings: Similar here & here (other affordable white option here!) / Bucket Bag: Similar here and here

For example: I asked you guys what you wanted to see via Instagram Storie polls between swimwear and dresses (you picked dresses) then it was white or vacation (you picked vacation) and it was casual or dressed up (you picked casual). So I went on a mission finding a great vacation dress that is relatively affordable -- side note: WHY does resort wear come at an extremely high price tag??? -- cute, comfortable, flattering and FUN!

I will admit that I'm a creature of habit when it comes to shopping. I have a routine and I like to stick with it. And it's why I shop at Nordstrom so much. They just have everything and I can put together a whole look in my cart and have it within the next few days. You can't beat that service.

So when I was shopping I had a general idea in my head of what I wanted but then I came across this dress and I got all heart eyed emoji. Sure, I have a thing for palm leaves currently from my shower but how can you resist such a fun dress!

I ordered it in my normal size M and I'm 5'6 for reference. I like the length of the maxi dress because I don't constantly trip over it BUT it's also great for anyone on the shorter or taller side. Shorter, it becomes a full length maxi and taller it becomes a super cute midi! It's also a dress I think would just be flattering on a lot of different bodies. Because the material is so light and airy but mainly because of the stretchy top. It's easy to wear and not bothersome as most off the shoulder tops are.

Really, I can't say enough good things about this dress. Would be perfect for vacations (obviously) but it would also be a great dress to have in your closet to pull out on nice days, fun weekends with friends or family gatherings. Even a more casual wedding! Really the possibilities are endless. And I'm really trying to feature less clothing on the blog and only show great items that will last you and I do believe this dress fits the bill!
