Wear To Work (minus the holes)

Happy Monday! With the work week starting, I thought I would share a fun and casual wear-to-work look. But I needed black jeans to complete the look and I only had ones with holes in them. Let me explain!

SHOP MY LOOK HERE:

Cece: Collar Tie Striped Shirt / J. Crew: Regent Blazer (on sale!) / AG: Black Ripped Jeans (non ripped here; more affordable here) / Chanel: Black Ballet Flats (similar here) / Ray-Ban: Round Clubmasters / Louis Vuitton: Toiletry Pouch / David Yurman: Pearl Earrings

If your office is casual or semi-casual, black jeans are the perfect thing to wear. They never really look like jeans but more like "pants" and are usually pretty excepted wherever. My office is the most casual place so whatever kind of jeans you want to wear, you can wear. But this is for those of you who might not work in baseball.

However, I only have black denim with holes in them and this look needed black denim. So if you can look past that for a tiny second, you can see that this look would actually be great for a casual or semi-casual work environment.

If you're not looking for a work look, this outfit is complete.

I'm pretty sure whenever you add a blazer to things, it makes the outfit look 100% more polished and put together.

Over the weekend, I asked a lot of you what you'd like to see more of on Covering the Bases and a good handful of you said either closet staples or work wear staples and I just have to say this blazer fits into both of those categories. This jacket is one of the best purchases I've made because it can go with anything. It can be worn to work, out with friends, or even on vacation!

Luckily for you, it's on sale today with 40% off on top of it!!! I'm wearing a size 6 (my normal size) for reference.
