My Favorite Nantucket Hotel

Favorite Nantucket Hotel: 21 Broad featured by popular New York life and style blogger, Covering the Bases

A little overdue but had to share my absolute favorite place to stay while in Nantucket so you can experience it for yourself next time you're on the island!

21 Broad is our favorite Nantucket hotel. I love it because it feels like home. It's beautifully decorated, the staff are amazing and it's in the center of it all. One of our first times staying on the island was at 21 Broad and I think that's what has spoiled us and why we try to go back every year!

21 BROAD: OUR FAVORITE NANTUCKET HOTEL

First we'll talk about location: 21 Broad is actually in the center of downtown. It's a half block up from Juice Bar (very important) and is easily accessible to just about anything you want to do downtown. It's next to a ton of really great places to grab a drink or a bite to eat, and (like the town itself) is centrally located for anywhere you want to go.

Then there is the staff, who are always the most friendly people and are there to help no matter the situation. They're all so welcoming, have the best recommendations and will give you extra cookies straight from the kitchen! I remember one time our flight home was canceled due to weather and we didn't have a place to stay. Mind you, this was in the middle of the peak season! They were able to squeeze us in and made our rough day that much better.

And of course there are the amenities. First and foremost, fast and free WiFi. We worked remotely from the lobby during the day after being stranded due to weather and it was clutch to have such reliable WiFi. Second, the little bites. They don't offer full meals or room service but they always have amazing snacks for you to grab. In the morning there are 5-8 different small plates to try (I love the overnight oats). In the afternoon there are baked goods and delicious infused water. In the evening, there is a late-night bite and also a fun BYO-alcohol mixing station! It really doesn't get any better.

They also have free umbrellas (which is so helpful), will call cabs for you, offer beach towels, bags and chairs, a fire pit out back AND give you a complimentary iPad to use during your stay.

And finally, there is the room. Every time we've stayed at this Nantucket hotel, we've had a different room and it's fun to see all the different layouts and spaces they have. It may seem like any old house from the street, but inside there are a TON of rooms and three(!!) levels of them! The bed and the sheets are always so comfortable and we never have trouble getting a good night's sleep. The bathroom (specifically the shower) is Andrew's favorite part. They have Vitamin C showers and a really fun rock floor. Personally, I love to snuggle up in the robes and watch TV.

There is no better place to stay in Nantucket than 21 Broad! If it's your first or your 50th time, I would suggest booking a room. I've had friends do so on my recommendation and every single one of them love it as much as I do!
