It was back in Saint Lucia last year for my sisters wedding when my mom turned me onto this cloth like thing that claimed to take off all your makeup with only water. My sister and I laughed and the improbability of it until my mom (who had a full face done by yours truly) started removing makeup and wiping it all away right in front of us.

Since then I was hooked.

MY SECRET TO REMOVING MAKEUP

I'm not sure about you but I've tried no less than 50 products for removing makeup. Rules are: it has to take off ALL of my makeup, it needs to be a quick process and it can't break me out. 3 simple rules that none of them could abide by.

I would find a wipe but no matter how much I rubbed my face, I would still have makeup marks (after washing it too!) on my towel... so obviously it didn't get all of it off. With a remover + cotton pad combo I found I was using like 4 cotton pads and still having the same issue. Long story short: my makeup removers weren't working.

So my mom ordered me a set of these microfiber cloths (two actually) and I've basically been using them ever since. They take off EVERYTHING, they are washable and they are so simple to use.

To use: run it under water (hot or cold) ring it 80% (just my number -- you still want it a tad damp) and start wiping your makeup away. It's that easy! I do not know how it works but it does and thats all that matters.

For my eyes/mascara I just run it back under the water again, get it a little more wet, place it on both eyes for a couple seconds to loosen up the mascara then wipe away.

As for cleaning I would say I was mine about every three weeks -- but one thing to note: in those three weeks I'm probably only taking off my makeup 4-5 times. Both sides are useable and you can reuse the same surface multiple times. When I'm done, I just hang it to dry and then pick it back up when I'm ready.

Now the exact ones I use are no longer being sold BUT Sephora has three different kinds that are the exact same thing! There is a full sized one (that will last you forever!), a smaller mid-sized one like what I'm using above -- which are great for traveling and a set just for your eye makeup!
