Talbots reached out to ask if I would be a part of their Because I'm a Lady campaign celebrating the new kind of modern woman who is real, confident, fun and perfectly enchanting. Of course I responded with a "hell yeah!"
Here on the blog, I always strive to keep it real with you guys. I want to show you 100% of who I am and what I do. I think it helps differentiate me from other bloggers and I hope you come here day after day looking for inspiration from a modern woman who works two full-time jobs (#BecauseImALady), who is completely confident in her own skin (#BecauseImALady) and who is unapologetically real (#BecauseImALady).
Being someone else can be soooo boring.
For the look I wanted to feature, I knew I wanted to show off a "wear to work" that suits my everyday aesthetic. As most of you know I work in a super casual office where most people wear jeans. Don't get me wrong, I love wearing jeans but I'm a big time sucker for a good skirt.
So I wanted to "dress down" a skirt with something a little more casual but still really cute and feminine! I picked this scallop shirt and I really like how the whole look turned out. I feel like most people wouldn't have thought to put these two together but I think it gives it the I'm-dressed-up-but-also-here-to-
I like to mix casual with traditional #BecauseImALady.
