Fruit Stand in Maui

My first official fashion post of the New Year! Excited to be back but man oh man do I miss Maui. I had the very best vacation ever and I cannot wait to tell you more about it later this week (or maybe next depending on how motivated I am -- this snow dump does not help).

I have to say Maui (and Christmas break) was one of my first real vacations since starting the blog. When I got home, I stopped responding to emails, stopped worrying about taking photos, barely Instagrammed and that continued in Maui! This look was the only real outfit we shot (we mainly just took snaps for IG).

It was so extremely nice to have that break and to take time for myself. I needed to hit refresh after the New Year and I'm so happy I did. Don't get me wrong, I love what I do. But just like in everyday work, you need an actual break. This seemed like the perfect opportunity. And guess what? The world didn't stop, the blog didn't end and I realized life will go on without me posting to the world. What a funny thought.

In Maui, Andrew and I explored a new beach every day. We ate out every night and I went to bed no later than 8pm. It was amazing. I found a new love in reading, I got the sun rays needed to get me through this winter and for the first time in forever, I actually packed the correct number of swimsuits for a trip (usually I am one to overpack).

I didn't even wear make up except for one day (our first night during the Luau). It was such an amazing feeling -- truly being on winter break.

What I did manage to do (because I loved this dress so much) was to take this outfit photo above. I snagged this dress from Nordstrom before I left and it was perfect. It was so easy and comfortable to wear and it was just the right amout of laid back I needed for this Hawaii trip. Did I mention it has pockets?

I can't remember the last time I posted on the blog without makeup on but this is normally what I look like six days a week. I think I stopped wearing makeup on a daily basis three years ago and I've never looked back. I know I might totally look different to you all, but this is the Krista I know and love! Proud that I can share that with you all here.

And since I'm sure you're here to read more about the outfit than my ramblings and deep thoughts of  am in the morning, I just thought I'd throw in that my very-favorite-all-time-summer-hat is back in stock and can be found here.

It's hands down one of the best purchases I have ever made and if I can give you a word of advice, buy it now before the weather turns warm again. Every summer this hat is sold out and is nowhere to be found. Since it's only $44 and ah-mazing it's snapped up before you're ever able to get it. I about yelped when I saw it was back online.

Should I order a second one?

PS - Speaking of back-in-stock, popular items, the famous Chloe dupe wedges have been restocked in all sizes (and are currently 25% off)!!
