I'm just going to come out and say it: I secretly love ice skating. I'm sooooo bad at it but I seriously love doing it. I'll do it multiple times a year and fall every single time but I just love it anyway.

You may remember alllll the way back to last year when I went ice skating in Central Park for the first time. Andrew and I did have the best time (as I was latched to his arm every lap). I also think we went ice skating a couple of weeks before in Meatpacking. So we had some practice but really not much.
This year while my sister was in town I really wanted to take her to the Bryant Park skating rink. One - because I'd never been there and two - because it's a really fun place to be for the holidays. We decided on Central Park instead though because we were closer and it is much much bigger.
There were a lot of people but since the rink is so big it wasn't really a problem. It is really expensive though so beware! You pay to skate, for the locker AND for the skates. I think it was like almost $100 for the three of us. And they only accept cash!
When I went skating in Bryant Park last weekend with Lucy and Tyler, I found it was much cheaper. You only had to pay for skates and you also get a discount if you have a BofA card! I also thought the ice was easier to skate on but it was more crowded. So the choice is yours!
There are rinks all over the city and what I especially love is that they are around even after Christmas! So be sure to stop by if you're in the city!
