So I'm really fed up with stores and bloggers pushing out fall clothing items right now. Like I get it, you're a horrible person who wants the warm weather to GTFO and have the two weeks of fall so you can pimp out your red Starbucks cup and blanket scarf. WE GET IT.

But need I remind you that after those short two weeks (aka the best season of the year) comes winter. Yes, WINTER. I still have PTSD walking out of buildings bracing myself for the frigid temperatures. And I swear it just got warm. For realz.

So can we go back to wearing summer clothes? Idk about where you live but it's hot as [fill in the blank] in the city. What you're doing is like what people do to Thanksgiving. The poor holiday gets skipped over and we're straight on to Christmas. ENJOY THE DAYS PEOPLE.

So that's my rant. Do you want to hear about my outfit?

I bring up the whole "fall" thing because it has gotten me in the mood for the fall colors (not the styles) so I thought I would share a fun way to realistically start transitioning your wardrobe to get ready -- in a month or two -- for fall.

This look is not only fun for the beginning of your transition but awesome for work. It's conservative, lightweight and really fashionable. I am seriously crushing on all things red and maroon right now and I don't see it ending until winter (when all my hopes and dreams are ruined).

I especially love the color when paired with neutrals and blacks because it seems to make it pop that much more! Do you all remember this skirt? I only have it in a million colors. Someone asked me if I still wore them and I'm like #yeaduh #errday. But really, I do.

Working in an office environment calls for basic skirts like these. What I love is that I can pair them with anything and look awesome and ready for work! I've really been living in my Chanel flats and dresses/skirts recently. Does that make me an official New Yorker?

I'm also really loving the trend from last season of the neckties. They're awesome and this one is legit. It has a button in the back to detach it and wear on other items. How cool, right?
