1. Make a list of things you want and things you need to get
for the holidays.
I always write out a list of things I plan on getting my
friends and family. I currently have a sticky note on my desktop of a running list
of things that would be good gift ideas. I know the people I have to shop for, the
links I need to shop and what to get. It makes the day a lot easier!
2. Make a budget you’re willing to spend and stick to it.
It’s so easy to get overwhelmed with all of the sales and
all the good prices, but remember this isn’t a time to go crazy and spend
everything. You have to be smart about your decisions—I want you to be able to
eat after the holidays!
3. Research – what you want, where to buy, what will be on
sale, what your favorite stores have.
This is one of my favorite things to do! I love searching
for a good deal so when I know what I want, I’ll check multiple retailers and
keep that in mind during the day. For example, if I know I’m buying a new pair
of Ray-Bans I’ll check out major retailers like Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus,
Bloomingdales, Shopbop and Lord & Taylor. That way, when I know what deals the retailers are
offering, I can make an informed decision and save the most money!
4. Check out your favorite brands for pre-sales and sales the
day of.
SO many brands are having a “pre-Thanksgiving sale” which I
think is awesome. Why not be able to shop before the madness and get everything

5. Shop early but check throughout the day.
This is an easy one! Shop early (at like midnight) on each
day and scoop up your best items first before they’re sold out! I would also
check throughout the day because sometimes retailers will put out different
deals as the day goes on.
