Ruffle Shift Dress for Valentines Day

To be honest, I'm not much of a pink person. I love red and wear it all the time, but pink? Not so much. But for Valentines Day a girl can do anything. Even rock a pink ruffle shift dress in 40 degree weather.

Chelsea28: Ruffle Shift Dress (also comes in red) / Burberry: Sandringham Trench / Loeffler Randall: Emi Heels (also in nude) c/o / Kenneth Jay Lane: Penelope Earrings (comes in 4 other colors!) c/o / Celine: Nano Luggage

This dress actually does come in red and I was so tempted to buy it but I thought pink would be something new and fun for me so I decided to test it out. I actually ended up LOVING this pale pink color -- its just so feminine and girly and it compliments my skin so well.

Now the ruffle, that is a different story. It's SO much cuter in person and it just goes to show that the most simple addition to an item can completely transform the look. I mean the fact that it goes up and around on the back is really a nice touch. No part of this dress is boring!

I decided to pair it with red and hot pink items because... hello it's Valentines Day! The accessories help make the look all come together.

Andrew and I aren't doing anything big for Valentines day (at least not that I know of) because we're heading to Dublin for his 30th a few days later (yay!) We're doing smaller gifts this year because we usually end up spending way too much on each other. I'm asking for this ring or a Barnes and Nobel gift card! Talk about a variety of choices...
