We had so much fun in San Fransicso and half of our time there was just finding new places to eat. The food selection there isn't as amazing as NYC (I mean, nothing is) but it was definitely impressive! But my favorite spot during our time there? Nopa.

The sommelier at my favorite spot in NYC, Cookshop, suggested we visit Nopa while we were in town. He actually sells his wine there but he said that he would send us there either way. And I'm so glad he did!

We booked like 3 weeks out and it was already jam-packed! I called the restaurant myself and basically begged them for a spot and thankfully they were able to squeeze us in later in the night. So glad I was persistent because it was by far the best meal of the trip!

The place itself has a really great and very cool vibe to it. Everyone is also so so nice (but that's SF for you) and it was just great to sit down to a nice meal while in town. The menu is small and ever changing which I love. That means that whatever is in season or is available will be on the menu. And it's nice to change things up once and a while :)

Andrew and I split our apps -- avocado toast and a fruit salad. Both were SO DANG GOOD. Ah! It's so weird (especially coming from me) but the salad was the best thing I had during our trip. And I think that says a lot because I don't even like salads. Close second? The avocado toast. Yum!

Because the apps were so good, the rest of the meal had a lot to live up to! Andrew got the salmon and I ordered the pork chop with a side of french fries hahah. People around us kept ordering them and they just looked so good I couldn't help but get some for myself. Thankfully we did because it was a while before our meals arrived so we had time to snack on the fries.

I would highly recommend anyone to this place if they're in town -- just make sure to get a reservation ahead of time!

Check out our other spots in SF: Waterbar, Bi-Rite and AT&T Park.
