The Top 3 Best Stores to Shop Swimwear

As I've gotten older, I've found a love and a need for swimsuits that make me feel good. If I feel good, I look good, and everyone wants to look their best during the summer. I know we may not have a ton of time to go to the beach or pools this summer, but if you do find your way out, I wanted to share my three favorite places to get swimsuits (for every budget!).

Summersalt

This is a new-to-me brand and I AM OBSESSED. I've always heard great things about their swimwear, but it wasn't until recently they had a blue and white printed one-piece that I couldn't resist, so I reached out for gifting! I was able to try out three of their styles at the beach and I couldn't stop wearing them.

The material is so well made. It hugs and sucks you in and makes you feel good in a swimsuit. I feel like we all know what I mean there! There is nothing worse than not feeling 100% in a suit. These are miracle workers! And *I'm aware* that every blogger is promoting them, but seriously, they are worth the hype.

I really liked their one shoulder the best. I can see why it's their most popular style. It was so flattering and different! The way the lines go across and up ... I can't say enough good things about it. I have yet to venture into any two-piece options because I've become a one-piece kind of lady, but I hope to soon!

Sizing is pretty TTS but they do run small/tight. I think that is why they are so smoothing and flattering. If you are in-between sizes, I would suggest going up!

J. Crew

One-shoulder / Blue Stripe

J. Crew for years has been a go-to for all things swim. Their one-pieces are always super stylish and cute. Their two-pieces are the right amount of conservative. I always feel like their swim fits me and my body really well. There are no places to try and squeeze into this or suck into that. It's just comfortable.

They can be on the higher end of a budget BUT the great thing about J. Crew is that they always have sales. You can normally find some amazing pieces anywhere from 40-60% off, which is the best time to buy. They will even have some older styles in their sale section for even more $ off and a lot of times those swimsuits are some that never go out of style!

Sizing is pretty TTS. I normally always wear a 6 in the one-pieces and an M in the top and bottom.

Target

I don't have any recent photos of me wearing my target swimsuits (the photo above was from my February trip to Miami!), BUT I've been shopping Target swim since college. They were one of the first and only brands to really make something for larger chests at a price I could actually afford at the time. Over the years they've only stepped up their game in terms of style options. They are keeping with any trend out there as well as making it affordable to do so!

The only drawback I would say about Target swim is that it won't hold up as long due to quality. You really get what you pay for! They will last you 2-3 summers but will need to be rotated out over time. The sizing is also sometimes off. I normally size up in Target because half the time it's more fitted for junior sizing. I wear an L and sometimes an XL depending on the style!
