Chanel Slingback Dupes + Comparison Guide

I love doing posts like these -- where I find a great dupe and share it with the world! I'm all about investing in good, quality items but I understand that not everyone is able to do the same. So when I find something that is a fraction of the cost for the same look, I want to shout it from the rooftops!!

I'm really excited about today's post because I love to share a good dupe when I find it!! It's no surprise if you've been around that a go-to heel of mine is a slingback pump. I had a pair from Nordstrom that I bought about 4 years ago that I wore all the time and they were awesome dupes -- but sold out quick and never returned!

So I was sad and would always try and re-link better options when I could. Then, over our honeymoon, I decided to pull the trigger on a real pair of Chanel slingbacks as an end of year/honeymoon gift to myself. I'll spare you the details of the back and forth but I thought long and hard about it and I have no regrets getting them.

They do need a bit of breaking in -- I mean my other pair (the OG dupes) are so old they are basically molded to my feet, so they have some comfort to live up to. I bought them in my normal size (8/38EU) which was wild for me TBH because all of my Chanel shoes (like all of them) I've sized up to at least a 39!

Whenever you are going to buy something online/resale, which I am ALL for btw, you definitely want to go into a store first and try on for size. I found, especially with Chanel, the sizing for their shoes are so inconsistent. It's going to save you a lot of hassle in the future knowing your correct size!

SO after we came back from our honeymoon, I stumbled across a few pairs of dupes that I thought would be fun to add to the collection. I mean, I wear these all year round -- why not have a few different color options??

I decided to place an order for the other two shoes in this post -- the first being a little different in style but navy and the second being a spot-on dupe for the Chanel pair. I thought it might be helpful to do a little compare + contrast post for you guys to help if you're looking for a pair!

VANELi Slingback Pump:

Truth be told, I was pretty let down by these pumps! I've been linking them for years as a better option to the Chanel slingbacks and they're just kind of meh! I don't think it helped that I bought the kitten heel either -- it's just kind of an awkward height!

I really love the slingbacks in a flat version so I was excited by that and it's why I got this style but I guess I wish they were all the way flat. I do think it's worth it to check out the higher heel version of these, as they are probably better in terms of a dupe! Also, the sling on the inside of the heel is common in most slingback styles but is usually a dead giveaway that they are not the real deal!

They do run TTS and currently have the beige/black classic combo, and a ton of other options below:

Marc Fisher Laynie Slingback Pump:

Ok... these... these are IT. I've never seen a dupe that is SO spot on. I mean even comparing it side by side, these shoes are like a half-inch shorter in the toe and a half-inch taller in the heel and that's IT. These are the best dupes you'll find around if you're wanting the Chanel slingback look without the Chanel slingback price tag.

I really wish I would have bought the beige + black style to compare for you guys! It would have made for a better post, tbh!! But I wanted them more for me than for the post and I don't have any gold shoes or slingbacks so I bought these.

I ordered my normal size 8 and while they fit great, the back strap was too loose and therefore made the shoes overall too big. The shoe itself fit fine but I would suggest sizing down a half size to make sure the back catches your heel and doesn't slide off when you walk.

Chanel Slingback Pumps:

I'm really happy overall with my purchase in these shoes. I think they will last forever (with care of course) and never truly go out of style. Like I mentioned above, they run TTS for me -- not for Chanel. I'm wearing a 38EU which is my normal size 8 and they fit great. I do think they need some break-in time as the toe box is a little slim but with wear, the leather will start to soften and mold.

Sadly, because these shoes are so popular right now, the re-sale market isn't the best. The prices are on par (sometimes even over!!) with the retail price. When we were in Australia I kept going back and forth because the conversion rate and the VAT tax would save me about $200 on the shoes. When comparing them to resale, it was an easy decision as there was no deal better out there for me!

How they compare side by side:

To be totally honest, these are the best dupes I've seen yet for the Chanel slingbacks! The only real difference is the Chanel's are a little longer in the toe box and Marc Fishers obviously don't have the double C's on the heel. I would also say the Marc's are a teeny bit taller in the heel compared to the Chanel. Outside of that, if you are looking for the style for less, this is your BEST option!

PS!! Another great option (that isn't pictured above) is this pair from Sam Edelman (also here) -- so many of my friends have and love these! And if you're still looking for more options, check out this pair from French Sole (use FUN15 for 15% off!)
