Today, I thought it would be helpful to go through my top 5 items from the sale and how I would style them differently. The outfits aren't legendary or completely different by any means... because, at the core of my fashion, I'm a pretty simple girl.

At the time I'm writing this, all of the main items are entirely in stock except for the Topshop blazer that I am praying they restock. It's my #1 favorite item from the sale!! I have a lot of other top favs as well, but I wanted to focus this post on widely available things. Anything below with a "*" next to it means it's part of the Anniversary Sale. The rest are either linked directly to the same item or something similar (but all from Nordstrom).

For more Nordstrom Anniversary Sale items and full reviews, I suggest popping over to THIS post -- it's long, but there are some comprehensive reviews on a ton of items. If you're balling on a budget and shopping responsibly, check out my top 10 items in the sale all under $100. And then if you want to know everything I bought from the sale (in-store and online) AND what I already own and love, head on over to this post. Lots of good shopping content to get on top of!

----

So let's jump into it! First, we're starting off with this striped cashmere sweater. I have to be honest in saying I really didn't think I was going to buy it until the moment I put it on. It was just very me, and I couldn't stop thinking about it.

It's 100% cashmere and with that comes a very soft but semi-expensive sweater lol. There is no better time to buy it other than now since it is on a big sale, BUT it's not something that you need. I will vouch for the cuteness and quality of the sweater but only if it's within your price range and budget. If you're dying to get your hands on some cashmere and only can buy one, get the Theory sweater below!

The three looks below are how I would style it for work, casually and for the summer (with colder nights)

Next, we have my favorite purchase from the sale this year: this Topshop blazer. I don't know what it is about this blazer, but I just love it. It's incredible, it's affordable, it's different... It's just great. But it sold out during the early access sale, and I'm not sure if they are restocking it for public access. IF IT IS restocked (you can find out here) please do yourself a favor and buy it! As it will probably sell out again.

I own like three red things, and this is the new addition -- who knew I would like it so much? It's very reminiscent of a Veronica Beard blazer without the crazy high price tag. The cut, style, and buttons make it very professional but stylish, and I just can't say enough good things about it.

Below I styled it for the office, casual and for the office again.

This is the Theory sweater mentioned above and boy oh boy is it a favorite in my closet. I actually picked the camel color of this sweater up at the anniversary sale two years ago with my mom. We were shopping in-store, and I just happened to pick it up because I thought it was cute, totally not realizing the price or the retailer.

Of course, I fell in love with it in the dressing room and then looked at the price lol. It's not the end of the world pricing but definitely, more than you would expect from a t-shirt sweater (yes it's 100% cashmere). I obviously ended up buying it, and to my surprise, it became one of my go-to items in my closet. Ever since then I would scour the internet looking for it on sale but nothing would ever come up!

Then it was discontinued (or so I thought), and I found one on Amazon for like 20% off and another on Nordstrom Rack for 40% off. So I grabbed them both thinking it was now or never. TO MY SURPRISE it is BACK in this year's sale in three beautiful colors. I couldn't help but pick it up in grey, and I've already managed to wear it to an event (the first look is how I styled it actually). Which just goes to show that you can wear this top year-round.

If you're going to buy a luxury item in the sale, I highly recommend this one! I styled it for the office, casual, and for warmer weather.

Next up, we have this simple black top from Boss. Probably the most random of the bunch but I just know it's going to be a staple in my closet for many years. What makes the top so great is the material -- it's that kind where it's extra stretchy but smoothing and doesn't seem to ever pick up lint or wrinkle. It's the best.

I don't own many black tops so when I put this on I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. It felt very slimming and feminine, and I decided to get it! The price tag wasn't too bad either, coming in at around $65.

I styled it below for the weekend, the summer and the office.

And finally, my favorite Spanx leggings. These are the best of the best, and they're only $65 in the sale! I promise they'll become your go-to leggings because they are seriously so flattering and cute on. A lot of you asked how I'd style them, and honestly, it would be either #1 or #3 below -- #2 was kind of a stretch for me in terms of if I'd wear it, but I wanted to put it together in a different way.

I personally love them for running earrings/doing nothing lol. Throw it on with a t-shirt or sweater, and I'm good to go. For work and the fall, in general, I put on an oversized sweater that covers the bum and call it a day. I love how they work with boots!

In all reality, I should have just linked to these posts from the blog showing you how I wear them (that is the biggest question I get for these leggings!). Here they are in a casual/dressy situation, an outfit for work, and in a winter workout wear.

Below I'm styling it for errands, going out, and the office.

AND THAT'S IT! Honorable mention to my other top favs is this Ugg Sweatshirt that is the MOST comfortable thing ever and to my water-resistant leather riding boots that are now my new favorite shoes.
